Malnutrition and Crisis in a Family of Twins

In the middle of a dark forest, there is a homeless village where the Harbor Church stands as a small but steady light of hope. One day, the pastor’s wife reached out with an urgent message: one of a church member’s two-month-old twin babies had suddenly passed away during the night. A police investigation followed, and the next day, the infant’s body was handed back to the mother. The impoverished villagers came together to raise money for the funeral, but it wasn’t enough—so they turned to the missionaries for help. By God’s grace, we were able to provide emergency support to cover the full cost.

But just two weeks later, another call came from the pastor’s wife.
It turned out the baby who passed away had a surviving twin—and he was now in danger due to severe malnutrition. The family’s situation was desperate. The father worked irregular day labor jobs with no steady income. Doctors prescribed specialized formula for the malnourished baby, but the family could not afford to buy it.
It is heartbreaking that even in 2025, infants are still dying of hunger.
But we believe God has entrusted us with this precious life and is calling us to act with compassion and urgency.
